Not so bad but srsly buy an iPod
Goods:
- Very good video quality and you can delete stuff within the device.
Bads:
- It takes FOREVER to recharge and you can't say if it's charging or not.
- Middle of the road software for putting songs on it sucks.
- No iTunes integration leaves you manually downloading podcasts.
- It is HARD for it to connect without giving problems (sometimes leaves you thinking it's broken).
- Buttons are NOT confortable AT ALL!
Poor quality and service
Sadly I can't agree with the rest of the reviewers. I am on to my 4th creative mp3 player now, and they have always been a bit fussy, whether it is the software, the constant resetting or upgrading of firmware. But I kept on because when they work, they are second to none. But what use is that if the support is poor? I bought this as a present for my wife because I have the 32GB and thought we could share speakers etc on trips. But the beast died within a few days, just would not charge, it happens, and I accept that. But a month without feedback? I have loved my creative products but enough is enough. There is such pressure from the iPod junta that you'd think Creative would want to give the best service they could, but it seems not. So I'm off, there are plenty of fish in a competitive sea.
Very disappointed.

Having already been the happy owner of the previous 4gb Zen i thought it was time to upgrade to this monster; and with creatives track record, i'm so glad i did. There was never any question of me going for any of apples products because to be honest im much more interested in " bang for my buck " than what the latest fashion item is. This little beauty gave me everything i wanted but with much more storage capacity and at a lower cost. This machine has it all. Video quality is great. Sound quality is excellent with the supplied headphones ( with a little tinkering )and it has all the usual features of players these days but also wireless LAN Compatibility. Overall, this has been my best value and most enjoyable Amazon purchase to date. I use this player almost daily on my walk to work and it has given me 99% perfect listening pleasure. If you are in the market for a new player then you wont go wrong with this one. Fantastic machine, fantastic value.
PROBLEMS WITH THE X-FI MODEL
I was initially excited to get my creative zen as my brother has the same x-fi model and swears by them. I liked the idea of larger storage space and internet access of the x-fi. Unfortunately from the start I had nothing but problems with the music files alone, where I constantly had to reset it - even after going onto their website and trying different remedies including downloading their software and taking files off the machine that may have been causing the problem - all to no avail. I never got as far as using video or pictures on it.
I have sent the x-fi back to the sellers and am still waiting for them to contact me. meanwhile my brother bought me a cheaper creative zen (the mx) he didn't know I had one already- and this one is fantastic even with the files I thought the x-fi may have been having difficulties with. I guess I just got a dodgy machine.
